Santa Stroll - Troy, New York

In 1796 Troy became a village and in 1816 it became a city. Lansingburgh, to the north, became part of Troy in 1900. Troy is known as the Collar City due to its history in shirt, collar, and other textile production. It lies on the east bank of the Hudson River, opposite Watervliet and the junction of the Hudson with the Mohawk River and the New York State Canal System.

The Victorian stroll has been going on for nearly 40 years. Not only does the history of the city come alive, but many of the attendees dress up in Victorian clothing really bringing you back to a past era. This event brings people together from all over the state and even the country. It encourages shopping locally and overall small business support. It is a rare opportunity for patrons to step back in time.

This ornament is a prime example how we can take a photograph and transform it into a beautiful custom pewter ornament. The photograph features "Father Christmas," a regular at the stroll who would dress up every year. For more information on the event please visit https://www.victorianstroll.com/.
