Traditional Christmas Stocking Charm
The history of charms can be traced to the "Queen of Charm," Queen Victoria of England (b. 1819 - d. 1901). She wore decorative fashion bracelets with charms hanging on them and started the modern era of charmed jewelry. We know from British history that many of our celebrated Christmas traditions were popularized in England by the Queen and her German-born husband, Prince Albert. The practice of hanging Christmas Stockings has been around since 1823. The famous poem describes waiting for the visit from St. Nicholas. Our adorable charm is decorated with festive Christmas trees, and looks like it could be hanging on your mantle. Today, these charms are no longer reserved for royalty, but can serve as reminders of the special times in our lives.
