Main Street - Rangeley, ME | 2023

The Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society serves the Rangeley and lakes area of Maine along with their Outdoor Heritage Museum in Oquossoc Valley.  The museum has been named the best outdoor museum in New England. The Historical Society is housed in the first brick building on Main Street. It was formerly the Rangeley Trust Company, a bank.  Stop in to visit and you can catch a look at the original vault that is still there. Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society is always looking for ways to serve their clientele while still raising funds for their non-profit operations.  This year they chose to have Hampshire Pewter create an ornament for them. The ornament depicts what Main Street in Rangeley looked like in the 1930s.
