One of our newest ornaments for Christmas 2023 was the General Sullivan Bridge. We created this ornament to commemorate the 400th anniversary of a multitude of New Hampshire towns on the seacoast. The General Sullivan Bridge was one of the earliest water crossings to be built in NH. We are thankful to be able to create beautiful ornaments to commemorate New Hampshire history. "Twas' The Night Before Christmas"

2022 is the second stanza of  our newest series "Twas' The Night Before Christmas". Don't forget to personalize your pieces.

We had a client who was refinishing an antique trunk as a wedding gift. As a symbol of the marital bond, she wanted to apply a personalized engraved message on an antique lock. She brought us an old lock with an aged patina and requested the couple's last names be engraved with the date of their "incorporation." The result was fantastic when the old copper shined through the years of age on the face of the lock. She thought this was the perfect symbol for a marriage meant to shine through the test of time! Do you need custom engraving? Special engraving orders don't upset us!

The city of Dover, New Hampshire is celebrated its 400^th anniversary in 2023. For the 4^th ornament in the town’s Hampshire Pewter ornament series, they chose to feature the Cocheco River Falls. It is a beautiful display of nature, the river cascading over a cliff of rock formations, creating a scenic oasis in the heart of the bustling downtown. There is an iron bridge spanning the falls, that is part of the historic mills. Visitors can walk over the bridge and feel the mist from the water.

We are excited to add another geographic ornament to our Christmas ornament collection. The latest locale represented is Cape Cod, Massachusetts! The hand-cast pewter piece features the map of the peninsula in it’s well-known “flexing arm” shape. The cape is a vacation destination for thousands of people every summer. It is known for its quaint New England towns, beautiful shorelines, outdoor activities, and of course fresh locally-caught seafood. Cape Cod is a perfect escape for those in search of an idyllic beach getaway.

12 Days Series Complete!

Hampshire Pewter releases the final ornament in the 12 Days of Christmas ornament series! We are thrilled to release our twelfth ornament featuring Twelve Drummers Drumming. The series is based on the classic Christmas carol with the Twelve Drummers representing the twelve points of doctrine in the Apostle's Creed. The ornament depicts twelve dignified men dressed in band jackets and soldier hats, beating their drums in unison. We have been building this collection for twelve years! If you have not yet begun your collection, it's not too late. We still offer and will continue to sell the entire collection.

The 12 Days of Christmas

The Eleven Pipers Piping Christmas Ornament is the newest ornament to hit our shelves! It is also the most recent addition to our 12 Days of Christmas ornament series. This finely detailed ornament depicts eleven men piping a tune, dressed in their coats, scarves, and hats. This scene comes straight out of the yuletide carol that we are all familiar with, and will look absolutely stunning on your Christmas tree!

‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ sounds a jolly carol without hinting that it was actually a catechetical device written by the Jesuits in the 16th century as a means of (secret) instruction of the basic teachings of the Catholic faith. Outward, and even private worship, was banned under the reign of Henry VIII until Elizabeth I. It was not uncommon at the time for homes to be raided since priests used to secretly baptize a child or give a dying person the Last Rites. So the faithful, especially the children, who are learning Christian values are safe from persecution, ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ was popularized.
