Bernese mountain dog Keychain

The Bernese Mountain Dog is strong, faithful, devoted and protective. They belong to the working group and have a life span of about 7- 10 years. The breed is one of the four breeds of Sennenhund-type dogs from the Swiss Alps. Berners as they are nicknamed drove cattle, guarded farmyards and sered as gentle companions. Their greatest claim is their ability to pull many times their own weight as drafting dogs. The farmers used the Berner to transport their carts of milk and cheese and were known by the locals as "Cheese Dogs.
