We start with heating the pewter up to 500 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit in our natural gas fired crucible. After applying a special talc powder the mold used for the product is placed in our centrifugal casting machine. The molten pewter is carefully poured into the machine under the watchful eye of one of our pewter smiths. The pewter flows into the mold, capturing the shape and fine details of the piece. The molten pewter cools and becomes solid with the design captured.

The new item, whether it be a Christmas ornament, candle snuffer, triple hook, or many of our other fine hand cast products, are then skillfully deburred and antiqued using our special antiquing solution. And finally, each piece is buffed by hand on our buffing wheel removing just enough of the antiquing solution to allow the details of the piece to show in all their beauty. We then quality inspect each piece making sure it meets our high standards and package it when it ready for you to take home.
