Hampshire Pewter is proud to issue the fourth ornament in the "12 Days of Christmas" ornament series. The yuletide Carol, which has been sung and enjoyed during the Christmas season for centuries, has inspired our Four Calling Birds ornament.
It is believed the Four calling birds represent the Four authors of the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Why calling birds? The Gospels 'trumpet' the story of Jesus from birth to death.

The Four Calling Birds ornament can be personalized on the rim in the front at the top and bottom, additional engraving can be done on the back of the rim at the top. Most requests are for the gift receiver's name and year the ornament was given-10 characters maximum.
