Every time you use your pewter, hand wash it with mild soap and towel dry thoroughly. Do not put it in the dishwasher. We recommend cleaning once a year with a good quality pewter cleaner, like our own Hampshire Pewter Wash.

After cleaning apply dry cornstarch with a soft cloth or sponge. Rub the cornstarch all over it then just dust off with a soft cloth. If you get scratches on your pewter's finish, you can blend them into the patina by rubbing the scratch with a very fine steel wool, or a presoftened "Scotch Brite" pad.

With a minimum of care, your Hampshire Pewter will last for years to come.
